While laptop makers are actively announcing new models based on the recently introduced Intel Tiger Lake processors, Honor has launched a device based on the AMD Ryzen 5 chip. The corresponding model is offered as part of the MagicBook Pro 16 line.
The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is geared towards creative and design users. The device is equipped with a 16.1-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. The maximum image brightness is 300 nits. Configuration includes AMD Ryzen 5 4600H APU, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage. Users have access to a backlit keyboard, retractable webcam, fingerprint scanner in the power button, one USB-C port, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0 video output and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The complete 56 Wh battery provides up to 11 hours of battery life. Thanks to support for fast charging, you can replenish 50% of the battery capacity in just 30 minutes. The weight of the novelty is 1.68 kg.
Also announced are the updated Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 laptops, which received an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor. In this case, configurations are offered with 8 or 16 GB of RAM and a solid state drive with a capacity of 256 or 512 GB. Both systems contain one USB-C port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI video output, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Honor MagicBook 14 will be available for € 750 (8/512 GB configuration) starting September 21. The MagicBook 15 will be available in October for € 700 for the same configuration.
